Final presentations made in rape case
The arguments may have ceased in the Meerabux case, but downstairs in the courtroom of John Gonzales, a major criminal trial was still going on. News 5’s Ann-Marie Williams has been following the case since it started.

The trial of James Pelayo, Melvin Guzman, Ricardo Alamilla and Amir Sutherland charged with the attempted murder, maim and rape of a thirty-six year old woman of May seventh of 2000, continued today in Supreme Court No. 3. The prosecution rested its case and closing arguments were heard from both counsels in the absence of the nine-member jury.
Tomorrow, trail judge John Gonzales is expected to rule on the matter raised by counsels. Reporting from the Supreme Court, Ann-Marie Williams for News 5.
