Robbers net cash and goods in weekend heists
A robbery over the weekend has netted three bad guys an undisclosed amount of cash and goods. Police say around 3:00 a.m. on Sunday three men ambushed twenty-seven year old Mackenson Semeranct, a security guard working at Ramon’s Gas Station in Belize City, tied him up and left him behind the building while they ransacked the store and office.
Meanwhile, armed assailants robbed a Corozal businessman over the weekend of cash and jewelry. According to thirty-six year old Fa Li Rong of Fourth Avenue, two men entered his restaurant and ordered food and drinks. Police reports are that when they finished their meal, one of the men pulled out a handgun and tied up Fa and his wife. The men then proceeded to hit Fa several times with the gun before making off with cash and jewelry. Anyone with information about either of these cases is asked to contact the nearest police station.
