UNICEF helps rebuild southern schools
In other education news, UNICEF has responded quickly to help rebuild schools in the south destroyed by Hurricane Iris. Twenty temporary classroom structures have been constructed in nine hard hit communities and additional funds have been earmarked for textbooks and educational supplies. Primary donor to the UNICEF assistance has been the Government of Italy. On Thursday, Minister of Education Cordel Hyde will present books and backpacks to over a thousand Toledo students.
