Belize City Shooting Victim Won’t Cooperate with Police

Alejandro Cowo

There was a shooting over the weekend on Ebony Street, Belize City for which several persons remain in police custody. But that is as far as it goes because according to police, the victim of the shooting that occurred on Sunday afternoon has refused to cooperate with authorities. Police opted not to comment on what may have motivated the crime, but confirm that additional police have been placed in the immediate area to mitigate any retaliation.

ASP Alejandro Cowo, O.C., C.I.B., Belize City

“There were several shots fired at Ebony Street. There was a victim that received a gunshot graze, but that person up to now has not made a report to the police. I will not further comment on that.”

Reporter
