Coast Guard Finds Gun, Ammo and Weed on Northern San Pedro

There was another bust by the Coast Guard in another hotspot. It happened on Sunday morning about eighteen miles north of San Pedro Town. That patrol led to the discovery of a gun, ammunition and marijuana. The Belize Coast Guard says that its Infantry Marine Unit was on routine patrol in Northern Ambergris Caye near the Tranquility Bay area when they found a nine millimeter pistol along with twenty-one live rounds and over eleven pounds of weed.   No one was discovered in the area and the items recovered were handed over to San Pedro Police. The Coast Guard notes that northern ambergris caye continues to be one of the areas of focus of its operations.
