Notorious Felix Brothers Get Bail for Murder
In the Supreme Court in Belmopan, after a third attempt, the notorious Felix brothers were finally granted bail for murder and attempted murder. Emory and Maurice were given bail of twenty thousand dollars each in the Supreme Court by Justice Antoinette Moore in the Belmopan jurisdiction. The duo was represented by attorney Oscar Selgado, who secured bail for them, though the court imposed stringent conditions. The siblings must report to court adjournments and to the Raccoon Street Police Station as well as not to interfere with witnesses. Emory and Maurice were also placed on curfew. The Felix brothers are charged for the 2015 murder of Mark Gentle and the attempted murder of his mother, Pamela Cumberbatch. Back in May 2015, Gentle was shot in front of his house on Caesar Ridge Road and died eleven days later on June fifth. Pamela was also injured, but survived. She however was killed in January of 2016 in a traffic accident. Their next court day is on April second, 2019 when they are to appear in the Supreme Court of Justice Marilyn Williams in Belize City.
