Elderly watchman killed in Toledo

A security guard has been found dead on the Southern Highway. According to police reports, seventy-seven year old Harwin White, a security guard for K and W sawmill, located near Georgetown, was last seen at his post on Sunday night at 8:00, but around 7:30 on Monday morning the relief officer found him dead on the road. A medical exam reveals White was severely beaten and had succumbed to his injuries sometime during the night. Nothing was stolen from the site, so police believe the attack was not part of a robbery attempt. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the nearest police station.
