Teenage shot to his thigh while walking on Albert Street

A shooting incident early this morning left a Belize City teenager with a gunshot wound to his thigh. Around twelve-thirty a.m., nineteen year old Kenroy Michael of Kraal Road was on Albert Street heading home when upon reaching at the junction with Dean Street he noticed that two men were following him. Michael says that one of the men targeted him and in fear of his life, he ran into Dean Street heading towards Regent Street. Michael says he then heard several gunshots and soon realized that he was hit. He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was treated and admitted into ward under stable condition.
