“I also assume the possibility of crimes, criminal investigation branch as well as operations and community policing. So I have three assistant commissioners of police working with me and our strategy is to ensure that we improve upon preventative patrol, the response to incidents timely and effectively as well as emergency response and improve upon our investigative capability and really and truly deal with the problem solving for which Mister Williams will be boosting CYDP and designate CYDP as a Homicide Reduction Unit so that they can deal with conflict mitigation and resolution and so forth. We will be putting training in place in terms of vehicle stops, defensive tactics and close-quarter combat and train officers in responding to emergency situations.”
