Joseph Myvett

A Hattieville resident has been charged for firearm offenses after she was found in possession of a large quantity of nine-millimetre rounds of ammunition. Tiffarah Usher is tonight in big trouble with the law after Orange Walk Police intercepted her at a checkpoint and discovered five boxes of bullets in her bag. She was taken into custody and on Wednesday charged for the crime. ASP Joseph Myvett gave an update on the incident.

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch

“Sometime around two p.m. Orange Walk police was on vehicular checkpoint where they conducted a search on a bag which at the time was in possession of Tiffarah Usher of Hattieville Village. The bag contained a transparent parcel; when opened, contained five boxes of ammunition, which when examined was determined to be nine millimetre ammunition. She was asked to produce a license for which she did not have one. She has since been arrested and charged for possession of unlicensed ammunition.”
