Price for Premium Fuel to Increase

On January sixteen we reported on the fifty-two cents decrease per gallon of premium fuel. But tonight, the reprieve for consumers has been short-lived since the price of premium fuel is about to go up and will take the price again above the ten dollars mark. The price increase is twenty-four cents, from nine dollars and ninety-five cents to ten dollars and nineteen cents.  A release from the government states that this increase in the price is principally due to tightening global demand, reflecting extreme winter conditions in North America and Europe, together with uncertainties in geopolitical conditions in several major oil-producing countries in the Middle East and in Latin America. G.O.B. says that it will continue to work with PUMA and all other industry stakeholders to ensure that any price increases are kept to their absolute minimum. The prices for the remaining types of fuel are not seeing a change, for now.
