Bz. City boasts interesting signs
In our line of work, we get to tour most of Belize City on a regular basis. On a couple of those trips we’ve seen some interesting sights, not all newsworthy, but interesting nonetheless. One thing we’ve noticed lately are some creative signs at various points of the city, some hidden in people’s yards and others right out on the street. Here are a few of them.

A drive down Cemetery Road and quick look to the right near Fuller’s Alley shows off this sign, CafĂ© Espanol, a Chinese convenience store.
And then over on Vernon Street: Germany might have built the Berlin Wall but when a neighbour named Barry Lin put up this cement wall, this Belize City woman took offence and promptly named it the BerryLin Wall in his honour.
But the creme de la creme has got to be at the People’s Restaurant on North Front Street. Apparently too many people were using their outside wall as an outhouse forcing them to paint this sign. We don’t know whether or not there’s any legal basis for such a fine but we are told the offenders have decreased significantly.
