Voyse Cares and Donates to the Dorothy Menzies Child Care Centre
Back in 2018, Infotel International was rebranded as Voyse International. On Monday, the community service arm of the organization, Voyse Cares donated four thousand dollars to the Dorothy Menzies Child Care Centre in Belize City. The donation is to assist with repairs and infrastructural upgrades at the centre. The handing over took place at Voyse headquarters on Newtown Barracks. News Five spoke with Training Manager Joelene Bood about the initiative.

“Our mission is for the uplifting of families and children, especially the youth in Belize primarily with education and health. And so what we do is that board sits, we get letters from different institutions that are geared towards helping families, children, education and health and based on those needs we try to give back. In December, early November, Dorothy Menzies reached out to us; they said they had to fix the shed that the kids have as their activity shed, they needed some mattresses for the babies, the dorms needed fans, they needed a washing machine and those are the things that we as an organization look to help. And so the Board made the decision and we gave a donation of four thousand dollars as well the staff pitched in. They were excited for it so they pitched in and we got toys, we got groceries, we had clothes…just about anything you could think about, the staff contributed and yesterday we were able to give.”
“How important is this to the mission and your company?”

“You know, I think as an organization, every organization has some social responsibility. For us at Voyse, Voyse Cares especially that’s the purpose of that organization; why it was created. That’s the mission and the vision and this year, you will see that we will continue to make our presence in the community known. We are going to be partnering in the coming months with the Human Development Department, especially with women and children and education. And I think as a socially responsible organization; that’s our focus and that’s why Voyse Cares exists.”
