Child crushed to death in Toledo
A Toledo toddler is dead tonight as the result of a tragic accident. One and a half year old Larissa Mishler was crushed to death Tuesday morning near Blue Creek Village when a pickup truck backed over her. The vehicle, driven by a twenty-one year old U.S. National Laban Butikoffer, had been parked at the Caribbean Light and Truth Mission and when he returned to the truck to leave he failed to notice the child. Butikoffer has been charged with manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct and driving without due care and attention.
