Taiwan donates half million to R.L.C.
This morning, the P.M. took time out before the meeting of the House of Representatives to receive half a million Belize dollars for the development of the Regional Language Centre in Belmopan. According to a government press release, Ambassador Charles Tsai handed over a cheque for two hundred and fifty thousand U.S. dollars to G.O.B. as part of the Republic of China on Taiwan’s commitment to develop the centre’s programmes. A cheque of the same amount was donated last year, making it a total one million Belize dollars that has been dedicated to the R.L.C. from the R.O.C.T.
