New Belizeans Eligible to Vote in Upcoming I.C.J. Referendum
During the swearing in ceremony, Immigration Minister Beverly Williams donned her political hat, advising the new Belizeans to register and vote in the upcoming I.C.J. Referendum. With less than three months away, Williams told the group to listen to the facts and make their own decision as a ‘true Belizean.’

“Register your vote. Vote for the I.C.J. Vote for whatever you feel will keep Belize safe. Listen to the facts. Register by the tenth of March and you can vote for the referendum on the tenth of April. That is my political hat. Where you are you can register and make your voice known as a true Belizean. Just like any other Belizeans they will go through to the process Well we have verified that they live in Belize or they would not have been receiving their certificate today and so they quality as Belizeans, registered by the tenth of march they will be able to vote on the tenth of April in the I.C.J. Of course you heard me putting on m political hot saying just listen to the facts. You determine for yourself and you go out and vote on the tent of April. Register first and then vote on the tenth of April.”
