F.O.B.’s Pier Has Been Repaired
Last November, B.D.F. soldier Private Fidel Williams lost an eye when he tripped and fell on the pier at the Forward Operating Base located at the mouth of the Sarstoon River. Williams fell into the river and landed on a steel rod that was jutting out of the water. The pier in question was said to be in a state of disrepair after failure to maintain upkeep. Since then, Williams has returned to work and the Ministry of National Security says that they have repaired the pier. Here’s what he told reporters on Wednesday.
John Saldivar, Minister of National Security
“Thankfully, I can say the pier has been repaired and I feel good about the job that has been done there now. I will visiting that area on the first of March and have a feeling that we may be inviting the media to go and see it. But, yes, the repairs are done and I am very satisfied.”
