A Brazen Attempt of the Life of Mark Anthony Clark
A Belize City resident of Frederick’s Alley was the intended target of a murder attempt last evening when someone inside a vehicle took aim at him with a firearm as he stood in front of a store on New Road. Sometime after seven o’clock on Wednesday night gunfire erupted and when the shooting subsided, forty-one-year-old Mark Anthony Clark had been injured multiple times to the body. Despite his many injuries, Clark is listed in stable condition at the K.H.M.H.

“Last night, just after 7:30, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they observed Mr. Mark Anthony Clark, a forty-one-year-old Belizean from Frederick’s Alley. He was seen with apparent gunshot wounds to the body. What police have gathered so far is that Mr. Clark was standing in front of Two Star Store located on New Road along with other persons when a vehicle just stopped a little distance from the shop and a male person exited from the back door and ran straight to him and fired several shots at him, causing the injuries to him. He has been admitted and is in a stable condition at the hospital at this moment. We are still trying to establish a motive as we haven’t been able to speak to him at this moment.”
