2 Men Are Charged for Gun Heist at Victor L. Bryant
Twenty-one-year-old Randy Chambers made headlines in December 2015, when he was walloped by a trio of officers as he was walking through his family yard on Police Street Extension. The physical abuse of the young carpenter was captured by a security camera at his parents’ home in an adjacent property. Tonight, he is once again making the news. This time, however, he is one of two suspects to have been arraigned for a burglary at Victor L. Bryant where a massive stockpile of firearms and ammunition was stolen sometime on Tuesday night. It is believed that Chambers, along with twenty-year-old Selvin Linarez, broke into the building on Chetumal Street and made off with an arsenal of weapons and as many as four thousand rounds of different caliber. Both men appeared individually before Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson where Linarez was read five counts of kept firearm without a gun license. Chambers was then arraigned jointly with Linarez for one count of burglary. This afternoon, Assistant Superintendent Alejandro Cowo provided an update on the police investigation into the incident, as well as the indictment of the duo.
