Police nab suspect in Dangriga crime spree

In recent weeks, the town of Dangriga has witnessed a spree of violent crime that has frustrated authorities and struck fear in the hearts of citizens. But tonight police believe that the wave of terror experienced in Dangriga was the work of one man…and he is now behind bars. Glenn Augustine was arrested on Saturday and has been charged with the November fourteenth murder of Woolrich McKenzie. On Monday, after a search of his house turned up a nine millimetre pistol and two bullets, Augustine was additionally charged for an unlicensed firearm and ammo. Police have also arrested him for the attempted murder of Desidoro Moldonado on November twenty-first and believe that Augustine is the perpetrator of several more armed robberies, for which he will be charged as additional evidence is gathered.
