Karen Russell is Miss Belize
A new Miss Belize reigns tonight. Her name is Karen Russell. The twenty-three year old U.B. student won the crown on Friday night over six other contestants. Russell, who has entered previous pageants, says she only competed in Miss Belize after she was encouraged by friends and family. In addition to representing Belize in the Miss Universe Pageant, Russell also won herself a U.B. scholarship, computer and other gifts. Eighteen-year-old Tiffara Reynolds captured second place, while twenty-year-old Becky Bernard took third.
