Stabbings leave several men wounded

Police in the north are tonight on the lookout for a man from Trial Farm who they believed tried to murder another villager over the weekend. According to reports, around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, twenty-one year old Jose Luis Cocom got into an argument with another man, identified as Coperino Castro. It is believed Castro stabbed Cocom several times in his neck, back, left shoulder, hand and foot. Cocom lost consciousness and is tonight in the K.H.M.H. in a critical condition. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Coperino Castro is asked to contact the nearest police station.

Meanwhile police have charged two men from Ladyville for attempted murder after they stabbed another man several times on Thursday. Twenty-one year old Benjamin Betancourt and seventeen year old Fredrick Olivera have been charged with attempted murder, dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm after they attacked twenty-five year old Francis Bustamente. Around 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Betancourt’s brother, Gareth, was fatally stabbed by Bustamente during an altercation in Ladyville.
