Robbers in O.W. use machine gun to steal $10

Also in crime news, the bad guys might have used some big guns but they made off with petty cash. According to thirty year old Jaime Bustillo, he was on Guadelupe Street in Orange Walk Town at about 1:00 a.m. when he was approached by three persons in a blue car. Bustillo says two dark complexioned men got out of the car, one armed with a shotgun and the other with a machine gun. The men pointed the guns at him and searched his pockets, taking out Bustillo’s wallet with ten dollars and personal documents. Police have since detained one person. Viewers can recall that less than a week ago, similar firepower was used in an incident in Belize City in which four men using an AK-47, a sawed off shotgun and a handgun, stole ninety dollars and a car from Belize City residents in the North Creek area.
