2 City Youth Arraigned for Attempted Murder
Two city youth were arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on six criminal and indictable offenses. Twenty-one year-old Mark August and eighteen-year-old Avery Bain were read the criminal and indictable offenses including abetment to murder, conspiracy to murder and attempted murder. Allegations are that on February twenty-third, 2019, gunmen opened fire at two brothers: Brenton and Calbert Budd Senior. But fortunately, they were not successful in killing the siblings.
August was charged with two counts of abetment to murder, and it is alleged that he facilitated Bain with a firearm to murder the brothers. Bain was charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit murder. The duo was remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until April twenty-six, 2019.
