2 Unrelated Shootings in Toledo
There were signs that a wave of violence was sweeping through the district. Even before the double murders there were two shootings in Toledo. Police say the first incident happened overnight on Sunday in Colombia Village and two persons were injured in what appears to be a family related dispute. The second incident took place on Monday, but fortunately no one was injured and two gunmen were apprehended by an officer on patrol. Southern Regional Commander Senior Superintendent Sandra Bodden tells us more about these non-fatal shooting incidents.

“Police visited the Punta Gorda Hospital where they observed two males persons with gun-shot injuries. They were identified as Eulalio Chiac and Seferino Cho. Investigation revealed that both men were walking home in Colombia Village where they were socializing when they were fired upon by one Robert Chen. Chen is the nephew of Eulalio Chiac with whom they had an altercation previously. Chen has not been detained and investigation into this matter continues. Also on the twenty-fifth of February, information was received that shots were being fired in the Central Park area of Punta Gorda Town. Police responded where they saw two male persons riding on separate bicycles in that area. The information gathered is that Aduan Usher and Albert Valentine both had firearms. Usher pulled his firearm and fired in the direction of someone but his firearm snapped. Valentine then took out his firearm and took out three shots towards the same person but he missed. No one was injured in that incident and police have since recovered one of the firearms but both Usher and Valentine are in custody and they are awaiting charges also.”
