High powered robbers take money and car

Police are also looking for a group of men who armed themselves with an arsenal of weapons and robbed two Belize City residents on Tuesday night. According to twenty-seven year old Alex Jones, he was hanging out with a friend on the hood of the friend’s car around 8:30 in the North Creek area, when he was robbed at gunpoint. Jones says four men, two of whom he recognised, approached the car bearing what looked like an AK-47, a sawed off shotgun and a handgun. In the face of such firepower, Jones handed over ninety dollars and robbers made their getaway in the car, a 1988 Chevy Cavalier. Two of the four robbers have been identified as Marlon and Calbert Budd of Belize City. Police say both brothers have previous records for robberies.
