Police may be Closing in on the Killer or Killers of Double Murder
The tragic double murder in Punta Gorda on Monday night still has that southern municipality in shock. Kevin Moro and Oscar Humes, who were lifelong friends, were shot and killed as they socialized at a house on Main Street, Punta Gorda. Earlier this week police said that they believe the murders were linked to gang rivalry and connected to a previous killing in the town. Today when we asked police for an update, they confirmed that they may be closing in on the killer or killers – and there is already one person in custody. Not much information was shared on the investigation into the double homicide – but A.C.P. Joseph Myvet confirmed that they are making progress with this case.

“Mr. Myvett, the last time we spoke with Sr. Superintendent Bodden, she indicated that there was a person of interest you were looking at – is there any update? Are you still looking for that person?”
ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“Yes. Yes we are still doing that. That person is in custody at this time and we are dealing with the issue.”
Andrea Polanco
“Do you expect to detain any other persons in connection with this?”
ACP Joseph Myvett
“Yes, we do.”
