Man Shot Inside his House in Belize City

There was more violence in Belize City aside from the murder of the cabbie. A man was shot just after five on Sunday evening. Police say Clinton Pou was inside his house on North Front Street in Belize City when he was shot in his left hand and to left side of the chest. He is hospitalized in a stable condition. Police say they don’t know what motivated the shooting. Today ASP Alejandro Cow told the media that Pou reported that he didn’t recognize his attackers.

“What police understand is that Mr. Pou was at his residence on North Front Street when two male persons entered his residence while he was sitting in the hall and one of the male persons fired shots in his direction causing the injuries. We are trying to establish a motive. We have already spoken to Mr. Pou and other persons who were inside the house. He is still admitted in a stable condition at this moment.”
