Police Looking for a Suspect in PG Double Murder
At the weekly press brief today, police also said that they are actively investigating the double murder that happened last month in Punta Gorda that claimed the lives of Kevin Moro and Oscar Humes. The two friends were at a house on Main Street when they came under fire. Humes died on the spot, while Moro expired as he was being transported to the hospital. Police have linked the murders to gang rivalry in that town. There was one person in custody last week, but he has since been released. ACP Joseph Myvett says that a gun was recovered and that cops are looking for a suspect.
ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“That investigation is still on-going. A firearm was recovered last week and was sent to the lab for comparison. We are still seeking one suspect in relation to the investigation. One person was previously detained and eventually released pending investigation. The firearm was found not too far from the scene of the crime.”
