Torch of C.A. Games runs through Belize
It may not be of Olympic grandeur, but that doesn’t mean the Central American Games torch is any less important. This afternoon, Mayor David Fonseca, flanked by several Belize City school children, today handed over the torch to gold medallist Rushiel Bevans who will relay it to Panama. The torch arrived in Belize on Monday via the Western border and travelled through San Ignacio and Belmopan before arriving in Belize City. The flame will travel through all participating Central American countries before arriving in Guatemala City, prior to the November twenty-fourth opening of the Games.
