Novelo’s robbed at gunpoint
As the Christmas season approaches, the incidents of robberies and hold-ups continue to rise. On Saturday, a man only described as being of dark complexion and holding a nine-millimetre pistol entered Novelo’s bus terminal on West Collet Canal around eleven-thirty and robbed the cashiers. According to cashier Enfield Gillett, the man pointed the gun at him and relieved him of ticket sales amounting to one thousand, six hundred and eighty dollars. The man then moved to the next window and robbed the other cashier of an additional three hundred and fifty dollars. Given the huge crowd that usually frequent the bus terminal on a Saturday morning, it is unfortunate that all the information police have to go on is that the man is of “dark complexion”. It is not surprising then that police say they do not have any suspects.
