Trio Arraigned for Belize City Burglary

Tonight, a trio of men caught in connection with a house burglary at the home of a supervisor is on remand at the Belize Central Prison. Kevin Alvarez, James Fitzgibbon, and Clinton Geban, appeared in the Magistrate Court for stealing an assortment of items from the house of Jevon Hernandez.  Alvarez was charged for burglary but along with Fitzgibbon and Geban, he was also charged with handling stolen goods after they were found with some of the stolen items. The men pleaded not guilty and Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson denied bail and remanded them into custody at the Belize Central Prison until April thirtieth, 2019. Hernandez’s house was burglarized on March sixth; he lost a number of items with a value of eight thousand dollars. Police recovered some items from the trio; Alvarez was found with two television sets.
