2 Separate Fires in Mahogany Heights
There were two small house fires in Mahogany Heights on Wednesday night. Police say that no one was at home at the time of the first fire around seven. A passerby saw the smoke inside the house and managed to put it out quickly. A short while after, another house was observed on fire. That house, according to police, was abandoned by its owner, who was recently shot. ASP Alejandro Cowo told the media that the fires are not related and that both structures only suffered minor damage.

“They visited the residence of Miss Shelly Welch where a neighbor reported that he was passing around there going to his house when he observed smoke coming out of the house. He managed to break into the house and extinguish the fire with the assistance of other neighbours. At the time the house was unoccupied and Ms Welch was not present and there were minor damages to the house. Just after that police responded to another fire in the same village of Mahogany Heights where the residence of thirty-three-year-old Shane Simon Trapp was found to have fire damages to one of the roof, the front door and the entrance of the building. What police have gathered so far is that the house is unoccupied and that the owner had moved from there about two weeks ago since he suffered gunshot injuries and now somebody went and set the house on fire but unfortunately only small damages were sustained inside the house.”

“Sir, you believe the first and second incidents – that both were arson?”
ASP Alejandro Cowo
“Well, we suspect that one of them is arson and the other we are looking into it.”
