Did Neighborhood Rivalry cause Joshua Gillett’s Shooting?
On Wednesday night, Joshua Gillett was shot in Belize City as he walked through an alley in Belize City. Gillett reported that he was approached by a man who shot him. Today, we asked police what caused the shooting and they say it seems to be related to an ongoing neighborhood feud.

“It was just minutes before mid-night when twenty-two-year-old Joshua Gillett was walking on an unnamed alley on Antelope Street Extension when he was approached by a male person who fired shots in his direction causing him to receive a gun-shot injury to his body. He was transported to the hospital where he remains there in a stable condition. Up to now there is no suspect and police are seeking one person who can assist in this investigation.”

“What is the investigation showing sir – anything drug related; drugs?”
ASP Alejandro Cowo
“We really don’t have nothing much as the main person who was injured has been questioned several times by police but he is not provided enough information to us.”
Andrea Polanco
“So the police have no idea what transpired there?”
ASP Alejandro Cowo
“We suspect that it is that same feud that is happening in that extension between different members of that location.”
