Basketball All Star Tournament in Belize City

The Ahmadiyya Basketball League is hosting its all-star basketball competition this Sunday in Belize City. The event will bring players from across the country, as well as Mexico, to compete in a number of basketball events and will show off their skills in a big match. Today, President of the Muslim Community Naveed Mangla shared the details of the event and why you should go out and support the young basketball players.

“This Sunday will be the all stars game of the Ahmadiyyah Basketball League, so the best players from the U-15, U-19, U23 will be competing against each other. So, if you are out there looking for the youth talent around the country and Mexico, Sunday is the day and SJC is the place to be at and this will be starting at ten o’clock. Some of the events in the competition will be the skill challenge competition, the three point competition, the all star game and the most interesting one is the dunk competition for the U-23. There will be food, there will be t-shirts and this year we will be doing a special tribute to our friend Dwayne Cummings who was shot. We will be missing him and these are the shirts that we made special and we will be doing a very special tribute Dwayne Cummings.”

Again, the competition is on Sunday at S.J.C. Gymnasium from ten in the morning until four in the afternoon.
