Tropical Storm Michelle heads North

Story Picture
TD-15 is no more. Tropical Storm Michelle is now just north west of Cabo Gracias a Dios Nicaragua. Michelle, still moving slowly north at two miles an hour, packing winds of 40 miles an hour. The storm is bringing substantial amounts of rain to several countries. Her base is so big that she is affecting countries as far away as Costa Rica in the south, Haiti in the Northeast and Florida in the North. Michelle still has a poorly defined center but again, weather experts predict that as the storm enters the Gulf of Honduras, she will gain strength quickly. It’s important not to panic but to closely monitor this storm. The National Emergency Management Organization is on high alert already. If the storm takes a northwesterly path, NEMO will declare a preliminary phase and activate the national hurricane plan.
