The Great Stars of Russian Ballet to Perform in Belize
Here’s something for this weekend. The Bliss Center for the Performing Arts is preparing to put on a show like no other. On Sunday three world-renowned ballet performers will put on a unique show at the Bliss. Principal dancer Alexander Volchkov of Russia will lead the group in what is expected to be an extraordinary performance. Communications Officer at the National Institute of Culture and History Neil Hall told us more.
Neil Hall, Communications Officer, NICH
“It’s going to be all strictly classical ballet. So you will not see some jazz or interpretive. However yes it is going to be diverse because normally when you go to a ballet you have a ballet recital of the Nutcracker or Swan Lake. What these performances at the Bliss will entail will be high points of several different world renown ballet presentations. So instead of going to see the Nutcracker at the Bliss, you will see a portion of the Nutcracker. Instead of going to see Swan Lake, you will see the portion of Swan Lake that is most talked about, most heralded by some of the top ballet performers in the world.”
The performance starts at sixty thirty on Sunday evening. Tickets can be bought at the Bliss.
