Muffles College High School Fails to Reinstate Female Teacher, Ignoring TSC’s Ruling

Muffles College High School in Orange Walk Town has yet to reinstate the female teacher who was placed on administrative leave, despite the ruling of the Teaching Services Commission. The teacher has been on leave after she refused to resign at the school’s request following the dissemination of nude photos of her without her consent.  The school had taken the matter to the Commission, requesting that the teacher resign. The commission, however, ruled against the school, instructing that the teacher be reinstated.  News Five has confirmed that the teacher has made several attempts to return to her post, but the Board and principal have reportedly turned her away, refusing to reinstate her. We contacted Principal Margaret Johnston, but her reply was ‘no comment.’ Chief Education Officer, Doctor Carol Babb told News Five that if the institution fails to reinstate the teacher, sanctions will be levied.
