Stann Creek merchant robbed twice in one night
In the Stann Creek District, a merchant tells police that he was robbed twice in the same night. At around 8:30 Saturday twenty-seven year old Ling Feng Cai was robbed at his shop on the Valley Road by two masked men armed with a nine-millimetre pistol. They made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. Three and a half hours later, Ling was checking up another shop he owns a short distance up the road when he was touched again, this time by three masked men who in addition to a pistol, also wielded a sawed off shotgun. This time the businessman was tied up and tape placed over his mouth. The gunmen then relieved him of four thousand dollars in phone cards, three hundred dollars cash and three quarts of Black Label Whiskey. Police are assuming that the same men were involved in both hold-ups.
