M.O.E. Reverses Decision; Classes Resume on Wednesday

There will be regular classes on Wednesday, April tenth, now that the I.C.J. Referendum has been postponed. This is the latest and official comment from the Ministry of Education. There was confusion this morning as it relates to whether or not classes would be held.   This morning an official of the ministry told the media that classes remain canceled despite the I.C.J. referendum being halted by the Chief Justice’s interim injunction. Minutes later, the media was assured that classes will resume as scheduled. The ministry reversed its decision after discussing the matter with the senior management team of the ministry as well as the P.M.  Several school buildings were expected to be utilized as polling and counting stations; however, due to the interim injunction and the Court of Appeal’s decision not to hear G.O.B.’s application, the schools are no longer needed for April tenth.
