Frederick Lammey Mysteriously Disappears at Sea
There’s a fishy story coming out of Dangriga where a sixteen-year-old minor went missing at sea during a trip to South Water Caye on Monday. According to Jael Sjogren, a fisherman of Dangriga, his cousin, Frederick Lammey Junior, and another unnamed individual, accompanied him to the island. While on the fishing trip, the teenager reportedly began to display erratic behavior and on Thursday, Sjogren and the other person decided to return to the mainland. En route to Dangriga, the men restrained Lammey by binding him with a rope. Along the way, the vessel began experiencing engine failure during which time Lammey is said to have freed himself and jumped out of the boat and swam away. Sjogren reported to police that after repairing the outboard motor, they attempted to search for Lammey, but to no avail. Police are investigating this incident.
