Carmelita Man Dies a Week after He was Shot

Twenty-two-year-old Oswald Warrior of Carmelita Village has succumbed to gunshot injuries eleven days after he was shot in Belize City. Police reported that Warrior died just after one this afternoon. We reported that the Orange Walk man was walking on Sarstoon Street in Belize City on April fifth sometime after seven o’clock when he was shot in the face. A single gunman walked up to Warrior and fired the deadly shot. At the time, a motive could not be established as to why Warrior was in the Back-a-Town gang territory or why he was targeted. He was hospitalized in a critical condition and succumbed around one p.m. today.
