Benque Robbers Steal Money and Fried Chicken
The third robbery in the Cayo jurisdiction happened on Tuesday night around eight-forty-five in Benque Viejo. The owner of Lighthouse Restaurant reported to police that two men went into his business and held him up at gunpoint. The robbers got away with some cash and also stole four plates of fried chicken. Police say that they don’t have any suspects at this time.

“Benque Police visited Border Road where they visited Lighthouse Restaurant where they spoke to the proprietor, a thirty-eight-year-old Belizean, who reported that while he was inside the restaurant along with another person, two male persons of Hispanic descent entered the restaurant pretending to be purchasing food items. While inside the shop, a male person pointed a firearm and demanded money from them. As a result he handed over a small amount of cash and the person left with four fry chickens from the establishment. Fortunately no one was injured and thereafter the male persons made good their escape. No one has been detained and police are looking at the description of the male persons.”
