Michael Andrews is Remanded for Theft of Boat Engine
A well-known boat owner is the latest victim of the theft of an expensive boat engine that was luckily recovered by police. One of six persons believed to be involved in the theft has been charged. Twenty-eight-year-old Michael Andrews was arraigned on a single charge of theft before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford. Allegations are that on April eighteenth, 2019, he stole a Yamaha fifty-horse power engine valued at ten thousand dollars from Alfred Aldana’s residence on Tranquility Street, Belize City. Andrews is one of the six men intercepted by the police carrying the engine on Lavender Street. But the group fled and left the engine behind; Andrews was later detained. Today, he was offered bail, but due to a pending bill, he was remanded.
