Lucio Salazar is Freed of 2013 Murder

Lucio Salazar

A man went to a party on May nineteenth, 2013 at Miguel’s Shop in San Pedro where he got into an altercation and never made it back home. In court today, the suspect in the mysterious death of Jeremy Baptist was freed.  Lucio Salazar, a resident originally from Punta Gorda, who relocated to San Pedro, was freed of a murder charge based on directives from the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Salazar emerged a happy man, but would not comment on the matter that took five years of his life. Baptist’s common-law-wife said that he got into an altercation with Salazar at the christening. He returned to his house with her and then went back to the party at around ten thirty at night and then went missing. Police investigated reports that Baptist had been shot three times to the head and his body dumped in the sea. But it was never found. Representing Salazar was attorney Simeon Sampson. The case was heard before Justice Marilyn Williams, which also gave way to the start of the April session of the Supreme Court.
