Principal Maria Johnston Accused of ‘Degrading’ and ‘Bullying’ Female Teacher
The Principal of Muffles College High School Maria Johnston is in the hot seat once again tonight. Johnston has been in the middle of a controversy at the high school. She is the principal who sent a request to the Teaching Services Commission to have one of her female teachers fired. As we reported weeks ago, nude pictures of the teacher were disseminated without her knowledge or permission. For Johnston, this was a reason to fire the teacher. The commission ruled otherwise and the teacher was to be reinstated. She attempted to return to classes, but faced several challenges. It was not until Monday that Johnston announced to the student body that the teacher was reinstated, but we are told that Johnston used harsh words during her announcement. The female teacher has written to the Commission, detailing Monday morning’s events. In the letter, the teacher expresses discontent, saying that “During the daily announcement via the school’s intercom whilst welcoming back teachers and students the principal Mrs. Maria Johnston took the opportunity to once more publicly humiliate me.” According to the teacher, over six hundred students heard the principal announced that she had been reinstated because the Commission “ruled in my favor despite that my explicit, sexual pornographic nude pictures were out.” In the letter, the teacher is asking the Commission to intervene and take necessary actions against the principal. Johnston was also a recipient of a letter from the teacher. The letter tells Johnston that her behavior was unprofessional and demanded an apology for “degrading me and by extension bullying me in front of the entire student body and teachers of Muffles College High School.”
