Emort Pineda Charged for Stabbing Murder in Steadfast Village
There were three murders between Wednesday night and Thursday morning of this week. The first occurred in the south, in the village of Steadfast, at mile sixteen on the Hummingbird Highway. Jose Alberto Requeña was stabbed multiple times and died in a drain as he headed to his house in the village. Police were able to retrieve the murder weapon and detain the main suspect within hours of the incident. Today, Dangriga police formally arrested and charged another villager, Emort Pineda for his murder. A motive, however, for the crime has not been established as yet.
