Another Woman is Stabbed by Common-law Husband in Belmopan
Another Belmopan woman has been stabbed by her common-law husband in the capital. Katherine Anthony remains in a stable condition at the Western Regional Hospital after she was stabbed to the chest following an argument. On Saturday night, the couple was at a house on Sarstoon Street in Belmopan when an argument ensued between them. The common-law husband, whose name has not released at this time, somehow got hold of a knife and stabbed Anthony once. ACP Joseph Myvett says that there is no record of domestic violence between the couple, but police are looking for him.

“Katherine Anthony, thirty-eight years of a George Price Highway address was seen suffering from an apparent stab wound to the right side of the lower part of her chest. She reported to police that whilst at a relative home on Sarstoon Street, she had a misunderstanding with her common-law husband and who in the process inflicted the said injury to her. Police is seeking her common-law husband in relation to this crime.”
