Nephew Chops Uncle in PG, but is Stabbed in the Process
An elderly man from southern Belize remains hospitalized after he was chopped multiple times by his nephew on Tuesday night sometime around seven o’clock. Sixty-five-year-old Elias Coleman was in the Yemeri Grove Village, Toledo when he was attacked by a Mark Cadle, who is almost half his age. Coleman was rushed to the Punta Gorda Polyclinic where he is now in a stable condition. ACP Joseph Myvett says that they were able to detain Cadle, who was injured in the altercation with his uncle.

“He reported to them that himself and his nephew had an altercation where Cadle inflicted the said injuries to him. Police also located Cadle who had a stab wound to the left side of his abdomen. He has since been treated at the Punta Gorda Hospital and has been released into the custody of police pending charges. Mister Coleman is in a stable condition at this time.”
The nature of the argument is not known at this time.
