Ortiz Set to Challenge Expulsion Order

According to Ortiz, he is being victimized by Torres. Ortiz, who says he has been detained on a number of occasions, alleges that Torres has ill-treated him. In fact, the videos that Ortiz captured show a level of verbal abuse and unprofessionalism on the part of Torres. When we spoke to Comptroller of Customs Colin Griffith in April, we were told that an investigation was launched. Upon the completion of this investigation, actions against Torres, if any, will be taken and subject to the Public Service Regulations. According to attorney Anderson, the expulsion order is linked to the feud between the men. Anderson says she intends to challenge the order and have it squashed.

“Mr Ortiz has had no difficulties with immigration department itself. It is only with his particular customs officers. There has been a back and forth. Mr. Ortiz vehicles have been confiscated. His dog was stolen and he has been trying to get these things back and in doing so he is very aggressive. He has done certain recordings which I have viewed and he has published at least once or twice on Facebook. And so we believe that his has triggered this expulsion order.”
